Return Window & Eligibility
At Denim Tears Shorts, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order, you may return eligible items within our specified return window.
Standard Return Window: 30 days from the date of delivery for unworn, unwashed items in original condition with all tags attached.
Eligible Items for Return
- Denim Tears shorts in original condition with tags attached
- Items that are unworn and unwashed
- Products in original packaging
- Items purchased at full price or sale price
- Gift purchases with original receipt or order confirmation
Non-Returnable Items
- Items worn or washed
- Products with removed or damaged tags
- Items damaged by misuse or normal wear
- Products altered or customized
- Final sale or clearance items (when specifically marked)
Return Process
Returning your Denim Tears shorts is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps to initiate your return:
- Contact Our Customer Service: Email us at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
- Receive Return Authorization: We'll provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions
- Package Your Items: Securely package your items in original condition with tags attached
- Include Return Form: Complete and include the return form we'll provide with your RMA
- Ship Your Return: Use the prepaid return label we'll email you (for US customers)
Important: Returns without a valid RMA number may be delayed or rejected. Always obtain authorization before shipping items back to us.

For US customers, we provide free return shipping via our prepaid return labels. International customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable duties or taxes.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your returned items, we'll process your refund according to the following timeline:

- Inspection: 1-2 business days after we receive your return
- Refund Processing: 2-3 business days after approval
- Bank Processing: 3-7 business days (depending on your bank)
Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase:
- Credit Cards: Refunded to original card
- PayPal: Refunded to PayPal account
- Bank Transfers: Refunded to original account
- Gift Cards: Refunded as store credit
Note: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, defective product, etc.).
Exchanges
We currently offer exchanges for size and color variations of the same product, subject to availability.

- No price adjustments for exchanges
- Exchange shipping is free within the US
- International exchange shipping costs apply
Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective or damaged item, we'll make it right immediately:
Defective Item Policy: Contact us within 7 days of delivery for defective or damaged items. We'll provide a full refund or replacement at no cost to you.

International Returns
International customers can return items, but please note the following:
- Customer pays return shipping costs
- Items must be declared at correct value for customs

Gift Returns
Items purchased as gifts can be returned or exchanged with some special considerations:
- Gift recipient can return items without original purchaser involvement
- Refunds for gift purchases are issued as store credit
- Original purchaser must be contacted for cash refunds
- Gift receipts are available upon request
- Same return window and conditions apply
Refund Delays & Issues
If you haven't received your refund within the expected timeframe, please check the following:
- Contact your bank or credit card company - processing times vary
- Check your PayPal account if that was your payment method
- Verify the refund wasn't processed to a different card
- Contact us if you've checked all the above and still haven't received your refund
Cancellations
Order cancellations are possible under certain circumstances:
Cancellation Window: Orders can be cancelled within 2 hours of placement, before they enter our fulfillment process.
How to Cancel

- Include "URGENT CANCELLATION" in the subject line
- Provide your full name and order details
- Cancellations are processed in order received
If your order has already shipped, you'll need to follow our standard return process once you receive the items.
Store Credit & Gift Cards
In some cases, we may offer store credit instead of cash refunds:
- Gift purchases returned by recipient
- Returns after 30 days (at our discretion)
- Items with minor wear or missing tags (case-by-case basis)
- International returns to avoid currency conversion issues
Store Credit Terms: Store credit never expires and can be used for any future purchase. Credit can be transferred to another person upon request.
